Padar Island is the third largest island in the Komodo National Park area, after Komodo Island and Rinca Island. Although Padar Island may not be as famous as Komodo Island or Rinca Island, the beauty of Padar Island is just as stunning as the two islands.
The location of Padar Island is generally closer to Rinca Island compared to the distance to Komodo Island and is separated by the Lintah Strait.
Padar Island is also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as it is located within the Komodo National Park, along with Komodo Island, Rinca Island, and Gili Motang. Although it is within the Komodo National Park area, Padar Island is not inhabited by komodo dragons due to a disrupted food chain.
Around this island, there are also three or four small islands, each with its own unique panorama. And on Padar Island, there is also a stretch of pink beach that is very suitable for just swimming, playing in the water, or enjoying snorkeling.
Visitors can also climb the hill located on Padar Island to enjoy the beautiful panorama from above. The blue sea and the array of surrounding islands will mesmerize visitors. The plateau has a dry climate with shrubs and grassland trees covering the island, creating beautiful savanna hill conditions.
Padar Island in Labuan Bajo has four deep bays and beach sand in various colors, most of which is white sand.
