He explained that business actors should ensure the authenticity of the products sold because selling counterfeit/pirated products is one form of violation of intellectual property rights. Business actors, especially IPR holders, can join the Tokopedia Brand Alliance Program to strengthen IPR protection on Tokopedia while combating product counterfeiting. Through this program, he said, business actors can gain a series of benefits, such as being able to review product counterfeiting reports directly on a special dashboard, faster processing times for removing counterfeit products, accessing special features to analyze reports, and engaging in constructive discussions on intellectual property rights.

The second tip is not to use photos or images from other brands without permission.

To avoid intellectual property violations, use original photos or images of the products being sold, or those that have permission from the copyright and trademark owner. "Tokopedia also has an Intellectual Property Protection Team that monitors IP violations to ensure that the products circulating comply with IP regulations," explained Bagas. Then, the third tip is not to use trademarks in the title and description of products without permission. This can increase trust and make buyers feel safe and comfortable shopping at the stores of business actors. Tokopedia also continues to review sellers, especially Official Stores, starting from account and product registration to avoid intellectual property violations. Tokopedia is also continuously working to improve its ability to detect intellectual property violations. According to Bagus, business actors, especially IP holders, can report violations through the IP Reporting Portal and review the status and response to their reports.
